• You can now replace a length of your resident KITEC piping using this coupling to connect from PEX-AL-PEX comp (or Kitec) pipe to inch female sweat or inch MIP
• Adapter has one end that will fit 1/2 in. Kitec style pipe; the other end can adapt to either 1/2 in. female solder or 1/2 in. MIP thread
• This straight adapter, or transition fitting, will easily couple the resident KITEC pipe to copper or threaded material for potable water
• For the KITEC or PEX-AL-PEX end: follow pipe manufacturer’s instructions for best connection results
• Using the adapter for female solder end: clean pipe and valve socket with emery cloth, and apply flux to both. pipe must be square and bottomed in socket; do not re-position valve after soldering clean with water and dry; let cool before operating
• Using the adapter for MIP NPT thread: clean pipe threads and cover them with pipe dope or PTFE tape; tighten firmly while gripping hex on end of valve; do not over-tighten
• Unique plumbing pipe coupling is lead free and made of durable, corrosion resistant brass
