The ApolloPEX 1/2 in. Water Hammer Arrestor Tee is the easiest way to add reduce water hammer within a PEX plumbing system. The 1/2 in. barb tee is designed for use with 1/2 in. PEX pipe and can secured in place using copper crimps, stainless steel pinch clamps or stainless steel crimp sleeves. When a valve closes quickly within a plumbing system and no air exists within the system to absorb the shock, water hammer occurs causing long term damage to appliances and fixtures and banging of pipes within the system. The installation of a water hammer arrestor provides the plumbing system with the air necessary to protect the plumbing system.
