Winecraft Black is the first Proven Winners smokebush, and is unique due to its rounded, dwarf habit. Its leaves are a rich purple in spring, but in summer's heat they turn a near-black before bursting into reds and oranges in the fall. In early summer, its smoke appears as large, soft panicles of bloom. No pruning or special maintenance is required, and it resists deer and rabbits.
