Ipe Seal 1 qt. Clear Waterproofing End Grain Seal for Hardwood

Sealing wood end grain during a siding, deck or trim installation can easily be done and does little to slow down the job. Ipe Seal End Grain Seal for hardwoods - and wood in general - is a non-toxic waterproofing wax emulsion sealant for fresh cut lumber ends to stop future cracks and splitting. Ipe Seal is proven to increase the structural integrity of hardwood decking, pressure treated sub-framing as well as wooden siding. This end grain seal will protect freshly cut deck boards, sawn logs, turning blanks and other exposed wood ends. Brush or roller onto most hardwoods such as Ipe, Massaranduba, Tigerwood and Cumaru including thermal woods. Protect your investment. Ipe Seal forms a bond that stretches the lifetime of wood. Since the end grain dries much quicker than the rest of the wood, the secret is to cover cut surfaces thoroughly, leaving absolutely no areas unsealed. 1 qt. covers roughly 500 sq. ft. of lumber ends. Because of variations in lumber species, variety of weather conditions and a person's application techniques; the amount of square footage is not necessarily guaranteed. Ipe Seal is paraffin based solution that is milky-white in appearance, dries clear and forms a flexible and vapor permeable membrane layer between wood end grain and the surrounding environment. The sooner our sealant is applied, the more successful the application will be. Use is suggested within 24-hours of cutting. (Not for use on walking surfaces).
